TEST-RETEST RELIABILITY OF THE KUDUWAVE AUDIOMETER, INCLUDING EXTENDED HIGH FREQUENCIES

The research was conducted to determine the test-retest reliability of the Kuduwave audiometer at all frequencies from 125Hz up to 16,000 Hz. The data was collected in an open-air environment in a large room with the air conditioner on and the windows closed.

None of the test-retest results differed with more than 2.6dB on average. The test-retest reliability of all normal frequencies and of all extended high frequencies grouped together are 0.7dB and 1.4dB respectively. The test-retest reliability of the Kuduwave audiometer at all frequencies are well within the acceptable range for accurate audiology testing.
