Die Foneties Verteenwoordigende Eenlettergrepige Woordlyste in Afrikaans (FVEWA) is ontwikkel om die leemte vir ware foneties verteenwoordigende en gebalanseerde woordlyste in Afrikaans te vul. Van Heerden (1999) het die klankverspreiding van klanke in Afrikaans bepaal deur die fonetiese transkripsie van gesprekspraak in Afrikaans, en die resultate is gebruik om die FWEVA te ontwikkel.

NU-6 Ordered By Difficulty Version II - South African (Read by Male)

This version of the NU-6 allows the audiologist to reduce the testing time in cases where the patient has essentially normal word recognition ability. It is an improvement over previous attempts to shorten the test time because it employs a “series positive test methodology” (Hurley end Sells, 2003). Each of the standard four lists of the NU-6 have been recorded according to item difficulty, descending, made with the help of a sound engineer and edited according to the latest international standards to normalise loudness.
- Four phonemically balanced word lists developed and standardised in America.

- Consists of 4 x 50 wordlists.
- 10, 25 or 50 words can be presented depending on the patient’s performance.
Auditec NU-6 Ordered By Difficulty Version II (Read by Male)

The NU-6 Ordered by Difficulty Version II allows the audiologist to reduce the time of testing in cases where the patient has essentially normal word recognition ability. The lists are ordered from the most difficult to the easiest. This is a recording of a male talker.

Auditec CID W-1 (spondee) (Read by Male)

The Spondees is a speech threshold recording. CID W-1 are two-syllable words with equal stress on each syllable, which are employed to obtain thresholds for speech.
- There are two randomizations of 36 spondaic words spoken without a carrier phrase for adults (2 x 36 word lists).

QuickSIN (Speech-In-Noise)

A speech-in-noise test used to quickly measure the ability to hear in noise. This test is intended for use on all adult patients. Professionally recorded using an American English female speaker.
